Extract an Archive on KDE Plasma

1. Open the Kickoff application launcher and launch Dolphin.
2. Find the archive you want to extract. Common archive formats include zip, tar.gz, and 7z.
3. Right-click on the file and select Extract > Extract Here.

Note

By default, the archive is extracted to the same folder the archive is in. If you want to extract the archive to a different location, select Extract > Extract to… or open the file with Ark and press Extract.

The archive extraction progress is shown in a notification. If you don’t see a notification, it may be because do not disturb is on. Click the notification icon in the panel to check your notifications.
