Extract an Archive on Cinnamon (Linux Mint)

1. Open the application menu and launch Files.

2. Find the archive you want to extract. Common archive formats include zip, tar.gz, and 7z.

3. Right-click on the file and select Extract Here.

Note

By default, the archive is extracted to the same folder the archive is in. If you want to extract the archive to a different location, select Open With Archive Manager, press Extract, and choose the location to extract to.
